Training Options for Safer, Better-Prepared Organizations
Basecamp Educational Services offers practical training designed to help organizations recognize developing threats, respond effectively during critical incidents, and build greater readiness across the workplace. Choose the course that best fits your team’s needs.

Situational Awareness & Threat Detection
Spot Violence Before It Happens.
This class teaches participants how to recognize what is normal in their environment, identify behaviors or conditions that are out of place, and determine whether those changes may signal a developing threat. Participants then learn how to assess what they are seeing, determine what it may mean, and choose an appropriate response before the situation escalates.
- Establish behavioral and environmental baselines
- Recognize anomalies and pre-incident indicators
- Assess whether observed changes may indicate a threat
- Move from observation to safe, decisive action
Active Threat Training
When seconds matter, decisions matter.
This class prepares participants to make informed decisions during an active threat or violent intruder incident. Participants learn how to assess rapidly changing conditions, understand their available response options, and choose the most appropriate action for the circumstances they are facing.
- Understand active threat dynamics
- Communicate during an emergency
- Apply escape, evacuation, and barricade options
- Understand personal defense as a last resort

Immediate Aid: Before Responders Arrive
When a workplace crisis causes serious injury, employees may be the only ones available to help during the first critical minutes.
This class prepares participants to first assess whether it is safe to provide aid, then take practical lifesaving action before professional responders arrive. Participants practice bleeding control, direct pressure, tourniquet application, and other immediate-care skills.
- Assess scene safety before providing aid
- Communicate effectively with 9-1-1
- Control severe bleeding with direct pressure
- Practice proper tourniquet application
- Protect, position, and support injured people until responders arrive
